If it was a bit closer i'd take a look at this DTR. If seller seemed genuine and all that work has been done to a good standard then i think it's worth decent money, maybe 7-800. I am biased tho cos it's my favourite style combo, white with back quarter windows. I'm looking at replacing the engine in mine cos i like the damn thing too much, bought slightly unwisely, heart over head, and had some big jobs done, but engine now sadly on way out. I do like a petrol BX tho, so i think (hope) it might just be worth it... watch this space..

Well that is a dilema if this is indeed a very genuine car to your favourite spec:

Spend a few hundred pounds on a petrol engine re-build or a few hundred pounds on a complete low mileage diesel

For me it would be a no brainer but I am 100% biased towards diesel.

The attraction with this car is that its a very early Mk2 so indeed in itself its rare, plus very low mileage and has had a full mechanical overhall.

Anyway its sold so doesnt really matter.

Like you Kevan, the contrasting rear 1/4 windows appeal.
