Parked the Valver up for the winter today. Gave her a good wash 'n' wax followed by a decent run out. Steering wheel lock thingy, plus a autolok on the gear lever, as well as removing the HT lead should make it fairly secure against the pondlife. I will be checking on her every couple of days to make sure she is comfortable. :lol:

Good man, my GT and TZi are also in winter slumber, I normally start them once a month, let them get up to temperature and move them backwards and forwards.
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....

That's right guys park up your temperamental petrols up for the winter and use the diesel work horses for trudging through the snow :wink: :)

Some of us only have one car :P and are not looking forward to many months of cold starts and depleted batteries, yay! Stupid drainback and sticky front struts still the biggest problems though...

Mine will be undergoing a few months of much needed work, mainly electrical, and a bit of welding.

Anyone on here good at welding BXs? Boot floor and inner wing need attention...

I do, its called a Golf GT TDI and its free! :wink:

Whoa! Mine will be working on through the winter too. That'll be two on the trot. I don't subscribe to the marmite and a blanket approach! It's there to be driven. Everything else comes second.

/\ WHS. I tend to use the diesel more, just because it's cheper to run and I do stupid mileages, but I have no issues with using the valver all year round, and I have done since it went back on the road in 2004.
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...
