Illuminated Electric Window Switches?

Post by Tim Leech »

I know the UK cars never had them, but there is a tiny bulb listed in the parts catalogue for window lifter switch bulb?

I imagine it was on the S2 cars with the bigger front switches, which were shared with some peugeots aswell?

Wouldnt mind some if they were available.

Anyone come accross them.

Tim, the illuminated window regulator control switches were also fitted to the S2 XM VSX/Exclusive models to both the single up/down (large rocker type) switch as-well as the single touch to close/open type which have a common/generic fitment and IIRC the small led bulbs are constantly light as soon as the ignition is switched on (As the power is taken from directly from the live feed to the switch) therefore needing no additional wiring.

It's just a case of finding some working ones from a donor S2 XM VSX/Exclusive (as SX models did not have them fitted as standard) or from a Peugeot model (possibly a 405) which may have had them fitted !

I may have some spare rocker type ones but not the single touch type, but I'd need to check first ?

:)
