SS exhaust part GTI/16v

Post by Philip Chidlow »

I have a stainless steel back box with chromed 76mm tail pipe. Unused, made by Scorpion (with Cituning logo etched into tailpipe) and will fit a BX GTI (8v or 16v). I was going to fit it but as both my BXs have vgc back boxes (one's only 8 month old) it would be a bit of an indulgence to fit it.

Is anybody interested. New it would have been £150+. I will sell it for £75. To courier it (I'd have to look into it, so to speak  ) would cost maybe a further £15.

Hi phil any chance of a pic. Is it a straight exit or at an angle. I am interested as you can see my pipe is a bit weedy.

Hi Phil. Would also be interested in seeing the picture as well, might need a nice back box for one of the Phase 1's.

Pics as promised. The label is included but if you can't read this pic, the part no. is: SE 152 CN and it's made by Scorpion (made 05-1998).

I understand it'll fit GTI and 16v models but 16v owners had better double check.

BTW it says CITUNING on the tail pipe.

First come, first serve, chaps. (E-mail me if interested)

I had one of those as well but never used it.
They are a fair box but do not have a straight exit the tailpipe comes out the back of the car at an angle.

Hi, I checked that. I was told that because the back box rises from front to back on the car, (that is, it's not level) the angle of the pipe compensates for this.

I was not nit picking just pointing out something I noticed on mine.
Yes the tailpipe does exit the raer on a leverl plain but it comes out at an angle - i.e. it doesn't come straight bach out of th ebx parallel to the box but at an angle - like the RHS box as opposed to straight like the LHS box

Ohhh, I see. Thanks. I didn't mean to sound funny about it!

I think it's a matter of taste I guess.
