£78.00 for a genuine Valeo one from my local factors (INC VAT)

does that sound about right?

I got a genuine valeo from the bay recently for 45... they're about occasionally, same part as in the 205 and 405 I think, part no. 006785

These are for the TD's though...

Sounds right to me, only E-bay has come cheaper, but you could be waitng a while, so presuming you aren't in a rush as you need to get a gearbox 1st, then wait it out. Don't forget LUK one's as well, i've got one fitted & it works fine, forget anything other than these 2 brands to be on the safe side.
