Be careful, Xantias can be VERY expensive to mend if you dont have the right kit, the Activa doubly so.
Have to say I wasnt that impressed when I drove one, no quicker in my opinion than a BX TD and unless you fly round corners at speed the Trick suspension is rather pointless. I do like Xantias, and they are alluringly cheap, but unless you can mend it yourself, dont.

At that money, not sure I'd care as long as it had enough bite to get me home. Sadly, this plan has been vetoed by the other half, who's far too bloody sensible sometimes! (can't really complain, she has allowed me to buy a CX Familiale and an Alfa Romeo V6 as well as talk her into buying a Citroen H van over the years!)

Lots of pain killers for the broken arm but no crack, my mate Jon Self has one, 150bhp in a car weight 1300kgs isnt quick! Smooth drive yes but after all the hype I expected something alot quicker, fantastic handling on a track yes, but in the real world?
My 19GT is much more responsive.

Activas aren't at home on tracks. They weigh around 1400kg and have tall gearing with a lazy engine. they're more like diesels really. The suspension is immense, with comfort and stability like you wouldn't believe. It's not responsive because it's a fat lazy xantia....of course a GT will feel more responsive, it's two thirds the weight. I think you need a proper one on one session with one on a fast, undulating twisty A road.
Kill Jester.

The Activa rarely feels quick unless you use alot of revs. That is down to the fact that it is a big fat Xantia with long gearing as has been said, but also the lack of fuss it makes about gathering speed. However you can drive them ridiculously fast through the twisties with no more effort than pootling around town
