BX 19 RD

Post by djm666 »

Well would you adam an eve it, I end up getting a 19 RD again just like my first car, this one is a UK import 1984 previous reg is scrippted on the glass, was owned by a man who had it in the uk for 3 years from new and then he put it in storage in the uk for 12 years as he went on a world sailing trip. when he came back he packed the bx up and shipped it to NZ and then he rang me the other day and wanted to get rid of it, i did not buy it as i did not have the money but Dad stepped in and bought it i think he wants to relive the good old days of BX ownership so know we are doing it up as it has a few things it needs. I will put pics up as and when we do bits on it.

We have found lots to do all ready, we started by sorting out the front trrack and found the front wishbone bearings are shot, so we start on the path to make it all good again.

Ah yes the alloys came from a gt that was scrap, this car is very clean and tidy underneath. I think we will have to save it as you dont find many of them any more. i forgot how much i love the mark one after driving mk2 for 5 years to step back into a mark one is excellent, the only thing thats wrong is that i has brown interior, but i think we will change it to black if i can find a mark1. the gt i have might be ok to swap it into.
