my washer to bar hose snapped at the bottom of the wiper and I have replaced it with some after market silicon hose from Halfrauds - only problem is that it is a bit unflexible and is bending the bar badly - I do have a length of much softer tubing but it isn't long enough so bodge wise I'll use a 6 inch length to the wiper and marry it to the silicion under the panel.

I'm also going to do the mod where you connect the two washer reservoirs together as it's a pain having to fill up every few days

I've not heard of this mod before, I might do that just so the rear screen washer gets used up more often instead of going moldy in the bottle.

it's lurking on the excellent Hungarian BX site..

essentially you run a washer fluid tube between the tanks - joining each at the bottom - this ensures that the level of fluid is equal in the tanks and doubles your capacity for the front (or rear) wiper skoosh...seems like a good idea especially as you say, to keep the rear tank fresh - I'll see if I can dig out the link and when I do it will post up some photos - the hungarian site seems to suggest taking out both tanks and securing them with silicon sealant -

I have some left over copper brake pipe and rather a lot of brake pipe unions so I think I might connect it up with a copper pipe

Mmmh..........Are you using screenwash? I've only had that happen in days of yore when using Fairy Liquid. :?

Just upped the screenwash concentration to 25% for the winter period, from it's 10% summer strength. :D

Yes I always use screen wash but it still gets moldy in the rear one which to be fare gets very little use.
