TZD Turbo Estate Wanted

Post by Tim Leech »

A good mate of mine who has a DS and a 2CV wants a practical estate with a bit of character for his business, and has long admired my BX's so has asked me to keep an eye out for a nice estate to use every day.

I suggested a TZD Turbo but a nice 1.9D would also be considered.

He is more like me in as such as he can do small jobs and keeps his cars in excellent condition so ideally a car with good good bodywork and mechanicals is preferred.

Budget is not a major issue, as he is preparred to pay good money for a good car.

Thanks
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....

I thought it was about time to join the forum, especially if I'm to become a BX owner!

Cheers Tim for kicking this off for me - I couldn't have described what I'm looking for any better myself. It may be a practical car I'm looking for, but I'd prefer it to be something a little different to the norm. I'm hoping that someone may be able to save me from a fate worse than an Astra Estate.

Are you Jon who used to attend WASPS some years ago? The red special looks familiar...

If so, (or even if not so) you've got a DS! Jealous!

My name's Ian. I used to live in Birmingham and was a WASPS regular.

Hi Ian,

Yes, it's the same Jon that used to go to wasps all those years ago! A few cars have passed through the fleet (including the DS) but the 2cv remains - 18 years in my ownership this year!

Have been reading about your mk1 estate with interest, even saw your clip on YouTube. Hope you're well?
