Post by Tim Leech »

At a mates last night having Dinner, and got a phone call from a guy I know, a friend of his who own a car accessory shop in hinckley mentioned a regular customer is scrapping his BX19. Apparently the drivers seat has collapsed and it needs minor

Apparently the old gent bought it 14 years ago (so that makes its a very It was unclear whether its a petrol or diesel but on that age I imagine it could be a 19TXD?, it is a hatchback.

Im awaiting more info.

Ive relayed a message NOT to scrap it until I can take a look as its about 15 miles from me. I think the figure of scrap value was mentioned, I cant rehome it but if its saveable im sure somoene could make use of it.

Surely in a situation like this it has to be first-come-first-served, and if Richard can't help himself (BX addiction is a recognised condition), then so long as the car isn't scrapped I wouldn't worry too much. Once a tatty BX is recommissioned it's hardly likely to make any money at all for the owner if sold on, so maybe keep taking the pills - or up your dose Richard. The treatment isn't working

Im sure someone has some grey seats knocking about, it wont be tweed on that age, probably the red/grey herringbone type.

Plan is to take a look Sunday morning on the way to Peterborough in the TZD.
