never done one of these before but it will probably help you all get a good nights sleep if nothing else.

Ok where to start , some of you know me as Mick some as Sue , get used to it I'm not a transvestite ( sorry to dissapoint you Mat  )

The Sue thing started as a wind up on the first of April2009 which went on, and on and on .
A lot of lusty young (and not so young )men on this forum thought they had won the lottery when a young blonde student nurse joined the forum having just got a barn find bx (some of the offers I got would make your hair curl ).

eventually I came out and have made a lot of friends both here and on BXP.

I have had 6 BX's now the first being a lovely 19TRS followed by two white 8 valve GTi's a 16 valve, a white TRS auto(very briefly ) and in between had a CX25 familie and two AX's .

well heres the bit from the gallery

just had a very pleasant drive back from Rye in the meteor
first impressions not bad.

tick over wouldent drop below 1500 revs towards the end of the 125 mile journey but have been out and started it again and it seems fine now,
heater control jammed on cold despite the heater tap being rebuilt last year so may be cables.
sun roof wouldent open but now do's
radio dosent work ,
but apart from that very happy

Be interesting to find out what mileage you get - I'm struggling to push 40, in limp-mode...

That sounds pretty good from a 1.6 petrol - I get low to mid 40s with diesels (and I've calmed down a lot since the days when I was getting mid 30s, can't afford to any more!) Are you brimming it each time? If not that may skew your figures...

The red one is a 1.9TD running higher boost and fuelling, the silver one a standard 1.7TD.

Back to the lovely Sue, must admit I was disappointed to find we didn't have a young nurse with us but that's life. Hope you enjoy being back in the fold, maybe you'll get a certain German GTi out of your system?

anyway you cheeky bugger, I'm not balding.

For those of you I havent met yet, I am a very happily married, youthful 52 year old father of 4.
Living on the west side of Milton Keynes

After careers in the post office,
Tv licencing
Banefits fraud team
And security management
I became a foster carer, we have looked after over twenty children in the last 9 years and have just had 4 and 7 year old boys and a 12 year old girl join us
Its hard but very rewarding work and between the wife and I we drive over a thousand miles a week for the kids
Thats why I bought the meteor as our 2.7 hyundai people carrier is quite juicey and the wife won't drive the golf due to its lack of power steering.

Dear Susan.
Shame I liked the " Forums needed to be like skirts, short enough
etc. " was very very funny
I am very shocked to find out that poor old Susan, has an accute
drink problem  I really hope she is getting the best help for her
addiction :) It,s no wonder she doesn,t feel up to bending over backwards
to fix the heater  if she is permenantly p*ss*d. :D
I would make sure there is no beer in the house too, as serious
drinkers tend to hide a few tinnie,s everywhere, the undies draw is a
favourite place they tend to stash booze away too

Dear Susan.
Mine is more a hanky sized these days, as I don,t drink, but I am
willing to learn especially from an old pro like Susan, who obviously
seems well capable of downing a few dozen, before breakfast every
morning 8)

the damaged white one in Heathfield, East Sussex,
the TRS in Croydon,
the 16 auto in Brighton,
and the red TRS auto in Haywards heath
