I have noticed more and more people starting to pass favouarble comment on the BX nowadays. My TZI is at work today having the dents taken out (£40 well spent), and the guy who did it passed comment on what a nic car it was, as did a passer by and even Gaz the notoriously miserable mechanic, its not my kinda car but it is nice (he drives a Laguna estate).

You never know they become a cuLt car one day!

Certainly does garner attention, in exactly the way my Peugeot 309 doesn't. "You don't see many of those anymore," is the usual thing, followed by "do these have that funny suspension?"

my son was driving my BX last summer, and he said that a couple in an Alpha pulled alongside and were looking it over admiringly (he said they looked like that anyway)

i agree the last couple of years have been a tipping point i reckon. Although not 'classically' beautiful like the DS or arguably the CX, it points to a different era, the 80s, which has really begun to be recognised for it's landmark events and achievements now people have grown tired of laughing at it's stylings and runaway economic factors.

Again today I was out the front of my house polishing the TZI before I headed off to view Jon Sandersons newly aquired 19TGD. A chap from down the road pulled up in his berlingo and commented on what a great car the BX was (his mate had one) and what good nick it was in. :D .

Got a couple admiring (actually reminiscing) my BX. Turned out they had a Leader and a Piot that they bought in 1990 as a pair.

I have started getting more attention in the BX than I used to (maybe because it's red?)!

I dragged the valver out from it's hibernation last week so i could put some shelves up in the garage. Literally within a couple of minutes i heard a voice say" lovely BX, we had three of those over the years". The admirer was ferrying his dad around in a newly acquired Citroen C1. You wouldn't get such favourable comments in a MKIV Escort i'm sure. :)
