Went to view the 19RD today and met a lovely old gent by the name of Len, and his wife, who made me very welcome with tea and offers of staying for breakfast etc!

The car itself is in good overall condition for it age, a few bits of rust are starting to appear on the wheeraches at the front but nothing major.

Good points:

Loads and loads of history, Len has a log of everything hes done to it in the 14 years hes owned it.

Engine, box and clutch are all in rude health.

Lots of spares with the car.

Suspension seems fine, pumps up quickly and the rear arm bearings have been done, nice and soft.

Sunroof!

Inner wings are starting to go but not through.

A Pillars are ok

Rear door shuts surface rust but not holed (I didnt poke them)

Bodywork is straight and rust free asides the wings

Its obviously been maintained very well.

Bad Points

Drivers seat is shot as is the steering wheel.

Exhaust rear box blowing

Starter motor is on its last legs (spare one supplied)

Needs a battery as the one on it is new and Len is keeping it.

Speedo In/Op

Blowe In/Op but was working last time len used the car.

MOT ran out today, no TAX.

Len really DOESNT want to scrap this car hence why he only wants £100, which in my opinion is good value, with some TLC and a bit of work it could be a very cheap runabout.
