Excellent. I'm sure it'll be worth it. I still hope to find someone taking part who can film it...

Another thing: I've just noticed: my postings are over 10,000. That's an average of maybe 5 a day? Blimey. I really should get out more.

I think for someone to film the whole thing could very well take away their enjoyment of it, if they're always the one behind the lens rather than being part of things. Depending on numbers, maybe we could each volunteer to be cameraman for a day? That still leaves the problem of who would put it all together though...

I agree, but if I could persuade someone to come on it - for the purposes of filming it - and then after editing and producing a DVD of it, to sell it to interested parties, as well as sell at the ICCCR for say £14.99 my guestimate is that they would only have to sell 80 or so to break even. Thereafter it makes profit. If each participating team bought one, plus say the same again within the club, that's already nearly halfway there. I imagine it'd sell at the ICCCR quite well.

But on the other hand, it might be just a case of assembling collected pics and putting them on a website, along with some descriptives. A lot less hassle.

I suppose I should quietly mention it...

The reserve's just the other side of £500. If anyone's interested.

Had a bit of a scare: thought there was a worrisome oil leak, but that was down to overenthusiastic filling, although there might be a slight rocker cover gasket leak. It drops about a 5p-sized drop of oil a day and doesn't burn any.

Xantia sold... and a new car enters the family: this time (courtesy of Tim, who's dealership took it in PX)... 70k miles, 1 owner, 1300 pushrod engine, absolutely filthy (took 6 hours to clean up lol!) and a hoot to drive.

Amy loves it. It'll be her first car. And she's called it Franklin.

BX worked on today. New Bendix front discs, Citroën pads, new Purflux fuel filter, air cleaner cone washed out and dried, filler neck jubilee clip replaced (the old one fell off :) ), filled with qwality diesel...

Next thing is MOT 17th April, and pre-challenge stuff: a manual switch for the fan, front driving lights and CB radio wired in...

That'll be it ready for France. :)

Yeah, but half the price of which BX; a mint, low mileage mk.1 GT, or a moss/rust blown 'pink paint' sitting on its arse in a farmyard!? :D

Tidy looking car that. When I was 17 I wish you'd been my Dad! :D
