She passed!!!!

Post by Mothman »

Took the TXD in for its MOT this morning, a few weeks early in case there were any problems and she passed just fine. Other than fitting a new exhaust system a few weeks ago did nothing to her. Old exhaust had been on her since i got her 6 years ago, was bodged but fell off so had to be done. Promised her a full service if she did pass so thats tomorrows job.

Sounds like an incentive for her to pass if there ever was one! Congrats.

body shops generally use 3 different grades of cutting pastes, a course grade will get it off follwed by a smooth grade to bring up a nice shine.

..that_

Cutting compounds are the way to go but it'll be very difficult not to bugger up the lacquer coat - assuming it has one. Re-lacquering isn't really a problem though and easy enough to 'polish in'.

The only kind of thinner that would touch it is cellulose thinner - I wouldn't use that, or - OUCH!!
