Hello to everybody! I have been advised to join this forum via Autoshite as you are a friendly and informative crowd on all things BX.

Brian is the name, a man of Kent, mid 60's, retired, divorced, so i can have as many cars as i like without any worries. Self employed for 40 years involving cars, vans or lorries, usually driving them.

Anyway, the Citroens in my life. I have had a Traction Avant, a couple of CX's, and a BX diesel. I needed an automatic car so thought i would try another BX.
I arranged with the seller of the TZi to view it on Saturday morning. Well the car was sort of described correctly, but i have viewed enough cars in my life to always expect the worst. It obviously needs a new exhaust and new nearside door mirror. The paintwork is as flat as hell though and will need a lot of hard work to restore it to some sort of shine, both corners of the front bumper need realigning and there is a scrape to the nearside of the rear bumper. It has good points though. 42000 miles, MOT, new radiator, 4 new spheres,it drives ok,changes gear well and at the moment everything electrical works. So a deal was done and i collect it Tuesday or Wednesday when i expect more will be revealed on the drive home.

Update to follow.

Well done Brian, welcom to the fourm, I own a very similar car, so I thinkyou and I are the only TZI Hatch owners on here so far.

Locating the exhaust and mirror should be easy.

Hi and welcome to BXC Brian, you've secured a nice spec. model with very mileage, so well done !

With it being a TZi the N/S mirror will be an electric one, so I don't know if its just the actual lense your needing or the whole housing/assembly ?
But I did notice some on E-Bay advertised however these may only be electrically operated (which have the one Yellow plug) yours may also be heated so will have an additional White plug (best to wait/check what's actually fitted to yours to be sure) !

I hope it may be of help for you ? Enjoy your new BX (When you get it) 8)

Hello Brian (Vantman), if you take some pics, it would be great to see them (if you've used Autoshite you'll know how to post them).

A slight caution for you, I'm also Brian, so be careful not to confuse digs made about Brian ... on the other hand ...

Thanks for the friendly welcome, comments and jolly banter about the obviously 'must have' name of Brian!
I am just preparing myself for the collection trip to sunny Lancing. A few tools, water, wire, cable ties etc.. And the camera,if only i could find it!

Further update tomorrow(or Thursday).
