Post by tzd-92 »

Just spotted this on ebay, doesn't look too bad and is literally a two minute walk from my house. I might be tempted

Go and have a look - looks like a peach! 650 quid for that wouldn't be unreasonable?

edit; Looks like it's had some sort of after-market wash/wipe system fitted?

Thanks for the info, chaps. this does sound an attractive proposition if the price is right, and may be my way back into BX ownership.

Whilst walking the dog this morning, I had a think back over the various Citroens I have had over the last twenty or so years and decided the one I regretted selling the most was my red BX 1.4, that one ended up with Richard's Dad for a while down in Keighley.

And I am heading from the north-east down to the Cotswolds at the week-end...

If you go and have a look at it TZD-92, let me know the outcome, please.

I have now been distracted by the possibility of a "valver", and so I am putting my interest in this one on hold for a while.
Yes, I do realise they are very different beasts, but my thinking was that if I sell my thirsty and very rapid Saab Turbo and get a cheap BX then that would free some money towards getting a 2CV, however, a 16valve would get me back in a Citroen that I would enjoy - albeit in a different way to a 2CV. And the price of decent 2CVs is just crazy all of a sudden.
