When the weather gets a bit warmer, i'd seriously wet clean the seats, even a damn good hoovering doesn't get a fraction of the filth out. I've done it on all of my cars & the water turned brown, even though it initially seemed quite clean after going over with a dyson

Good transformation though :D

Dear DJR88.
Well done  That trully is amazing, you should be very proud
of all your hard work. The rewards are really great when you can do
that to a car that the paintwork was that bad on
I am the same, I hate big time driving around in cars that aren,t
polished and looking nice

The dude i bought it from was hell of a dog, i had 2 big black bags full of rubbish out of the car and when i sorted the logbook out with him in his house i reckon you would need about 1000 rubbish bags to sort that hell hole!! i've never seen anything like it!!

I've always been in the car trade, i used a polishing mop with a sponge head and farecla G3 cutting compound and autoglym wax.
Theres still a little fit of haze hear and there when i get some more G3 i will re- do those parts. but i'm happy with it for the time being.

Reminds me of the ST Tropez I bought which is is now with Mr Stinkwheel, the chap lived in a small quite modern apartment, and was eager to do all the paperwork outside, when I asked to use the toilet I saw why. You couldnt see the floor and there wasnt a clear surface that wasnt piled high with stuff, empty take away cartons and Pizza Boxes everywhere!

Anyway good luck with the TZD! You will need to keep waxing it to keep the shine, Phil C and myself have used that T Cut Red Polish with good results.

Bizarrely, although my car was very clean on purchase, a hovel would have been a palace compared to the flat - 3 rooms, 3 dogs (2 large-ish), and smelt like it ... I didn't dare sit down, and after sorting the paperwork etc, drove to Leigh Delamere with my legs crossed.

I know you want original trims, but worth getting a cheap set from somewhere in the meantime? The rest of the car looks so nice now that the wheels let it down!
