Must have been getting muddled with the jet then. Squirting, dribbling, it's all better than nothing ( ) as mine doesn't work at all on the red BX. Must be a blockage between the pump and the jet as they are both OK.

It took me a while trying to think what was wrong with Chocolate of Lowestoft!

I'm an ale man myself! Quite partial to a pint of Bishops finger, but my favourite so far has been Bath Ales Gem and Darkside, and an ale called something like potholer (but not that one) or headbanger - can't bloody remember it's name. All i can say is that it is served in the Muddled man in West Chinnock.

How interesting, are they your birds? A college friend of mine partook in falconry with his (very wealthy) dad.

I also would like a tattoo, but I have told myself i'm not allowed it until I have got my 6 pack back (half way there, already got one in the fridge 8) tis hobgoblin too!) Final year of uni is not good for ones belly...

What i'd like is a Wisteria sinensis (climbing plant - very pretty) starting on the inside of my left thigh almost at my knee and climbing up my thigh and ribs (front and back) and onto my left shoulder (also front and back), with just a few flowers spilling onto my upper arm. I'd like it done in a wandering, delicate and elegant way - definitely not in-your-face, and in simple lines rather than full 3d drawing. The trunk a few shades darker than my skin (fairly deep olive brown colour) and the flowers pale lilac.

Extensive, very painful and expensive I know it will be. But it shall happen, and hopefully next year depending on the BX situation.
I'm not a Saint, or a James, but a Tom Saint-James!

Just been catching up on some other blogs and dug out your intro thread Mick. I laughed immoderately.

Hope the Hyundai passed its MOT!

Like it but have a slight preference for their Spitfire. Then there's Badger and the occasional Newky Brown ~ale~

sorry Tom , the birds aren't mine,

The second bird picture is of Gollum the vulture,
they have been trying to teach him to fly but without success,
they even tried him in the airkix indoor parachuting wind tunnel they have up here

beginning to enjoy the BX now despite its little traits,

Its mainly my confidence (or lack of it ) thats been holding me back ,

Changed the front brake pads this afternoon (one side was down to the backplate), no pad wear indicators so didnt light up the dash and only started to make a noise this morning, discs seem fine though.

I am cleaning up the strut Vanny gave me to replace the one thats leaking and am confident I can do the swap now,

had a fiddle with the carb and got it running a bit smoother ready for when the round thingy arrives, cut down some of the bodge job fuel pipe runs down.

even got around to fitting the mudflap clamp that had been missing.

finally to finish the afternoon off I cleaned up the algae on the sunroof seal and rubbed some vaseline into it to bring it back to life.

Looking forward to picking up my front splitter at the end of the month.

That's the thing that usually inhibits me doing stuff, confidence! Odd, as I seem to have it in abundance in most other aspects of life...

a friend has just popped over and had a look in the carb,
he's noticed fuel is still dribbling into the first chamber even when the cars not running, he thinks it mught be a diaphragm has perished.
any thoughts anyone

Grab a recon kit for the carb - diaphrams should be included in it and both should be easily replaced. Often the anti-stall diaphram will start to leak and then someone fiddles with the mixture to get it running better to cope with the enrichment caused by the leaky diaphram but without realising it. If you remove the vacuum pipe feeding the anti-stall and sniff it - if you find a strong smell of petrol that's the sign of a leaky diaphram.

Me three, I think I'd be fine on some of the basic stuff if I had someone looking over my shoulder who could screech if I did something Really Silly, but just too nervous to have a go all by myself.
