Trim levels

Post by saintjamesy89 »

I thought i'd make a thread consolidating the trim levels found on BX's, as it's all jumbled up in my head! Hopefully they are in ascending order of trim level.

So MK1's and early MK2's had;
BX
BX E
BX D

BX RE
BX RS
BX RD

BX TRS
BX TRD/DTR

GTI (87-)
GT (-86)

And later MK2's (after 87/88?)
TE

TGE
TGS
TGD

TXS
TXI
TXD

TZS
4x4
TZI
TZD
GTI
GTI 4x4
16v

And E donates 14, S 16/19, D 17/19 diesel (obviously) and I 16/19 injection.

I'm not sure if the TE or TXS exists , or if there are any other lower trim MK2's than TG. Feel free to re-post and edit etc - would be nice to get a comprehensive list of trim levels and Special editions if we can.

I know, i'm real sad...

Ok, from the top of mine and Mick's heads, the specials;

MK1
Leader (14/16 E)
Digit (19 GT)

MK2
Preview (14 BX)
Leader (14/16 E)
St Tropez (14 TE)
Rendezvous (14 TE)
Flight (14 TE)
Athena (16 TGS)
Meteor (16/19D TGS/TGD)
Pilot (16 RS)
Hurricane (17TZD and GTI)

Can't think of anymore UK specials, and according to howmanyleft.com there aren't anymore.

EDIT - now with equivalent trim levels and in ascending order of trim! I'll get my anorak...

Dear Tom.
I think your idea Tom, about all the different trim models and the
special editions etc, is a really really great idea :D 8)
I have also been quite confused with all of the different models,
and what all the different letters meant too :?
When is it you get your BX then Tom :?:
Take care Tom

That's why I left it at 'TG' instead of putting TGS/TGD - just me being lazy. I suppose i could have put TGx but then that might be confused with TX(I/S/D). :D

Thanks Vince, I just wanted to get it all clarified and tidy like. My GT will be with me on April 28th at around lunchtime. I am very excited to get it, BUT my final year university exams start the following Monday (30th) so I won't be able to tinker until I finish my exams (1st June).
There is quite an array of letters/numbers etc isn't there!
