Toms after a 1.4 isnt he , I think that could be a good use for his student grant :lol:

Nice looking car that but rather pricey.

That went towards the GT :oops:

Don't like them wheel trims anyway and looks to have the old suitcase engine (noisy gears as in engine sump or summat), shame as you don't see RE's much. Pricey indeed!

I quite like that car, i'm sure a decent offer would secure it. Never driven the suitcase engine model, apart from it being a bit noisier, is there anything else thats not to like?

The gearbox on the one I drove was rather sloppy, manual choke though and they go OK, I would get a leter TU though, as the early ones sound like a Talbot Samba :lol:

Is that a way of saying its got character or does that mean they are sxit in comparison to the tu lumps?

It just makes the feel an older car than it is in my opinion

A lot of talk about noise. A 19D takes some beating in that dept.!

true but like the XUD thrum alot more than the whine of the suitcase engine :lol: . Not for me but getting rare now and has its charms!

Looks like a lovely old bus to me - bit pricey mind you. I'd quite like that 'old car' feel. I'd get myself a pair of string back gloves and a wicker picnic hamper and think; 'Here I am doing "motoring" like in the olden days.' Infact, if you look at that picture of the engine bay you get a free jar of home made chutney by the look of it - yummy! :D

Lol thats the radiator expansion bottle! The TU cars drive much better and are easier to get bits for.
