On the BXagon we horsed around for 8 hours a day, but were always happy to get back in the car again.

I was very impressed at how comfortable it was, despite avoiding most motorways.

I need some decent weather and a weekend off to take the BX out in.
The weather was rubbish down here - it got good when we hit the M40 :?

Worth getting out for a run though. Felt good actually - don't normally get a chance what with family commitments these days.

Theres a Lightning "scramble" in July (where they run up BOTH of them!) and theres another open day normally around late September if memory serves. The Lightning guys do more events than the other OCs but then their planes are a bit of a showboater

Well, I'm now married and got to ride in a DS, which was pretty amazing IMO!

BX went from looking like this:

To this:

I spent a couple of hours cleaning it up, removing the moss and fitting the refurbed new wheels I got for it from Mark on the 16v forum (thanks again if you ever read this!)

We got some shots of it with the ribbons on the front (as it was transport for two of my kids) but hopefully the DS didn't upstage it too much!

It's gone back into the garage now. Probably won't do much to it for a little while - my other cars need more attention now!

Can tell you're a real man ... you mention, in passing, that you got married, but the key thing was the ride in the DS and shiny BX photos ~grin

Congratulations on all three counts - the BX certainly looks lovely, surely it'll be out to play sometime during the summer after all that effort?

I'm obviously not a real woman because I'm vaguely disappointed that there's no photos of the DS included

There will be photos of the DS - but I'm probably the only one who didn't take photos yesterday lol!

I could bleat on about the wedding etc, but it's not the place for it. I'd just bore everyone

Oh, and yes the BX will be out and about plenty enough. It's just that I've been commuting in it during the week (while fixing it) and used it all weekend, not to mention Brunters. I'll probably not drive it again til June but you never know! Having three kids under 3 doesn't leave much time for dicking around in cars #-o

C'mon Kitch, I'm sure that a wedding falls into the acceptable 'life in general' description of the blog section, once you get them from your photographer(s) - official or not - you have to give us at least a couple of pix* to prove that you clean up OK. You know you want to!

*If they include the tarted up cars so much the better!
