I was getting excited about the TRS reaching 300,000kms but sadly thats not going to happen. 4,000kms short and already canibalising parts BUT it may still happen.

I'm a mileage lightweight, the highest mileage car i've had was my frontera with 113,000 (was n plate). But in the last 3 years i've put near enough 75,000 miles on the astra, it's just coming upto 105,000 so it won't be too long before i'm in the 200,000 club D)

The last Scania I had was on a 58 plate and just passed 900,000 kms when we replaced it. Apart from a propshaft coupling and suspension airbags no problems of note. Hope the MAN units prove to be as durable.

Yeah, I was fairly geeky, assessed when it was going to roll over, made sure I had enough miles to get off the motorway for a few minutes, took a couple of photos and then on my way again. Slight worry when there was a horrible burning smell on reentering the motorway, but luckily as is usually the way it was nothing to do with me.

Apart from the multitude of knocks coming from the front and probably a slightly duff wheel bearing in the rear, and the little water leak, it's doing pretty well. Just handed in my last work for my degree, so now have time to actually get it to the garage for the things I can't do, and time to actually do the things I can.

Mine's low mileage at less than 150k

I suspect rust will catch up quicker on mine than the mileage

Talk about putting a dampener on the thread with a non citroen high miler, anyways better not mention that Toyota will give you a new vehicle if you can do 1 million kms in one of their vehicles. Someone I know was surprised to get a letter from Toyota offering him a new van when his Hiace reached 1 million. Somewhere in the archives is a newspaper clipping about this.

Of course it is easier to reach a high number with kilometres on the clock
