Dear Sandre.
I have to admit, it was far too complicated for me in the end with the photo,s today
But Shari has kindly managed to download them for me again
I would really love to go to York Sandre, but unfortunately, sadly it is too far by a
long chalk
I am colour-blind so there is no chance of me painting anything that " needs " to have
a good match Sandre As for your car Sandre, you never know what is round the
corner, friendships that you haven,t made yet, these things in life will happen one day,
before you know it
The previous owners called him " Neville ", but I do like to name most of my cars, after
Ladies names. So I have decided today that after bieng annonamous for 7 months I
thought that she would really like to be called " Sandy " from Grease of course
I thought of that name because it is " Sandy " to have really good knowledge of a lot of
things before you buy your BX.

That is so really really very very nice of you to say so Paul If there was one
thing I did learn from having the Sunbeam Rapier Fastback for 13 years, was don,t take
anything off the car, until you have a new to replace it with, in your hand Paul
I thought aswell Paul, that it is a rarerity too " a lesser spotted white BX " which
hopefully when she comes back from the bodyshop, will be at least less three more spots
at least anyway

Firstly I am so pleased you have hopefully managed to source some wheel trims Jane Everyone on this forum, are really great, and very thoughtful too
Thank-you so very much aswell Jane for all of your very kind comments
I think too it would be very nice to think of our BX, s as being " sisters "
At the moment I am only polishing 4 cars regularly, my wifes motability Astra, my
youngest daughters previous car megane and my SAAB ( which is in a garage that we
rent from the council, which is 1/2 a mile away from the house. ) and the BX when
she is here I do have a double driveway which helps alot.
One thing I have been doing ( with thanks to a few people on here ) is to get your-
self a few little spares together.

Dear All.
We found out today some really really fantastic news from Andy and Joan, that they
are going to be bringing " Sandy " the BX back tomorrow I am so really excited
and can,t wait to see her again I am really looking forward to see how her steel
wheels look now they have all been shot-blasted and resprayed in satin black, and how
she will look with her graphite grey wheel trims too. And her newly painted sills are going
to look aswell
I just hope that " Sandy " hasn,t " scent " marked Andys new bodyshop floor too
much, whilst she has been there
One thing I wanted to ask permission for, if I may be able to kindly put Andys body-
shop details on the forum or is that not possible

Dear All.
This evening Andy and Joan brought " Sandy " back home, after her visit to Andys
bodyshop She is now resting peacefully outside Andy has done an absolutely fan-
tastic job on her All 5 of her wheels look a million dollars now and the graphite
wheel trims are absolutely perfect colour her bonnet now looks like glass. The two
satin black door frames he has painted are such a spot on match, I couldn,t tell which
ones he had painted Both of the front kick panels look like they have never
been painted. and the sills are like new aswell.
They have kept a photographic file of Sandy whilst she was in the bodyshop, which
when I get them I can put them on the forum for all to see
Weather permitting tomorrow I will take some photo,s of Sandy in all her new glory.
I will add some more info tomorrow
