Re: Conservatoire tour
I'd be interested - do you know what the cost is likely to be? I'll be less keen if it's £100 to get in!

Re: Conservatoire tour
Mat are you coming to the ICCCR? Citroen are apparently bringing some cars from the conservatoire. Just to whet your appetite.

Re: Conservatoire tour
I do not know what the cost will be, so bear with me. But when I last went it was about a tenner, yes. I plan a two-tier trip... First a basic visit to Aulnay-sous-Bois near Paris which is the site of the PSA factory and Conservatoire... with an overnight in Senlis, for example, and second a 'proper BX Club trip', which would mean a further stop-over between Dreux/Alençon followed by a visit to the Rennes La Jenais PSA factory and another overnight in Dinan. Then, a tour of Normandy (overnight near Honfleur) and back to Calais.

Re: Conservatoire tour
As nearly all the Citroens I currently own came from Rennes, that would be a great trip for one of them

Re: Conservatoire tour
As it stands: I would like to kick off a visit to the Citroën Conservatoire as well as a visit to see the Rennes La Jenais factory . I envisage 4 overnight stops - the first near the Conservatoire - e.g. Senlis - for a tour that would take us from PSA Aulnay-sous-Bois, Paris, through the stunning Parc du Perche to the PSA factory at Rennes 390km away. I would want to sort an overnight at the mid-point; maybe east of Alençon. Then after the Rennes visit, a short drive SW to a most excellent museum: http://www.manoir-automobile.fr/welcome/index.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; followed by a drive to Dinan for another overnight... the Ibis there is central and pretty ideal. The following day would see a trip to Deauville/Honfleur on the Normandy coast where we spend the last night. Then off to Calais in the morning...
I have asked for some help from the CCC regarding arranging a Conservatoire visit. What are the criteria/conditions/limitations etc. and also what are the possibilities of getting a visit to the Rennes factory arranged via Citroën UK?.... I do have some 'access' to people at Citroën UK through my work with Quest Motor Group, but I think this has to probably be a CCC-sponsored thing.
I see this as a April/May 2014 event.
