well, sticking with the Korean concept ( as the C8 /807 is too small for seven people in comfort with luggage)
we have bought a 05 plate Kia Sedona, Its got the 2.9 diesel lump from the mercedes sprinter van in it and this time we have gone for a manual, full grey leather interior and the exterior in a fetching shade of metallic burgundy

Did someone call a taxi?

I've ridden in the back of one on the way to the airport once, and it was comfy enough. And the engine pulls well in a Sprinter, so should be more than adequate in an MPV!

it is ( ideal for two adults and five kids), only 70,000 on the clock as well,
It was hard tracking down a decent one with the tow bar already fitted as I doubt I would have had time to get one done before we go away ( also they are about £300.00 to have fitted )
side sliding doors are a massive bonus with kids, the manual box is lovely , short gear throw and well placed lever
mind you, Julie did try to put it in gear using a non existant column change lever this morning :D
wait til she finds out it has a handbrake and not a foot operated parking brake

And when some bugger parks right next to you!
Think I've got an article in an old Car Mechanics magazine, I'll try and find it to scan for you.

If your Julie was driving it this morning should'nt she have found out about the handbrake then  ? I have always thought sliding doors are cool, the one and only reason I liked that little Peugeot 1007 was cos of the doors!

A good friend of mines had one of them for a few years, and although its not that frugal (2.9TD) its been reliable and pulls the caravan very well, Mick ive got a mate who works at the local Kia dealer up here (it was the MGR dealer where I worked in a former life) so if you need any parts I should be able to get you them trade.

thank you Tim I will bear that in mind , we only have a folding camper that weighs in 1,000 kilos so well within the Kias capabilities.

On another note , still no sign of the battery light coming on , thats 3 days now :D

the BX had its first proper clean in nearly a year today thanks to Jemma my 14 year old ( ok I wiped over the headlights before fitting the protectors ) came up quite nicely , the round thingy is now in place and will be piped up this week, at first I will leave it on the electric pump but will try the manual pump as soon as I can.

Its the top of the range Pennine Pathfinder 600tc ( which means its got an electric flush toilet and an oven ),
I'll find some pictures.
Its also got two ( quite rare ) bedroom anexes for the awning and a ( extremely rare as in rocking horse poo) rack that go's over it
