1991 BX 16v minus engine - mint shell

Post by Kitch »

Don't worry....I haven't broken one in favour of an engine....this car had an engine with a huuuuge amount of money thrown at it and consequently has run its course. The engine has been broken up and sold off, but the ph2 shell in Silver remains complete with all suspension and braking components plus a full mint bodykit, interior and ancillaries.

Ideal for a TD conversion IMO.

The car is free to anyone who wants to rescue the shell....the owner like me has not the space to store it so it will be broken up sadly if no one is interested.

Car is located near Heathrow airport.

Thanks

I was about to add....the car is NOT breaking....you want anything you take the whole car

Has all ABS components too...pretty much everything but engine suffered a major mechanical mishap.

I might have some going soon actually.....if our trusty estate is put to sleep :(

Or I'll offer the car to a good home....watch this space on that one!

In a rare but definately serious moment can I just say that despite appearances I`m NOT trying to get every BX going or stop anyone else landing the car they may have always wanted.
I`m still happy to sell (or give away) any car for exactly what I gave for it or less to anyone who`d want it.
The 1.9 TZD turbo is a dream of mine which will now come to reality, the recently acquired TGD t/d was a save from the crusher job and the 16V and 4x4 are mine in name only. The 4x4 is Ian`s (and someone has expressed an interest in some parts from it which I`ve passed directly onto Ian) and the 16V is a `halve-sies` job with Vanny and thanks to his efforts it`s starting to come back together.
I`ve already offered the GTi to another member for what I paid for it (hopefully it might not come to selling it but I need the estate`s capabilities and it`s a lovely car) so taxing all three (19TZD, estate and GTi) could be too much.
I have stripped at least two BX`s (both of which were far beyond economic repair) and the parts have saved other cars too. I`d also like to think that the other BX`s I`ve owned have improved in my time of ownership (except the estate which i scrapped today!) and though my skills are limited I do enjoy a bit of tinkering and light improvements.
The 16V of Kitch`s will undoubtably be saved, his thought of possibly putting a TZD engine is not too far off the mark. The most likely plan for that would be to put an excellent 16V engine into it and making it back into the car that it was and always should be.
The other 16V I know about would then most likely have the TZD conversion and be ready for someone to use and enjoy, hopefully meaning another BX is rescued rather than dumped.
Apologies for going on but I do feel guilty for seeming (and possibly actually `doing`) to be jumping in on all the BX`s for sale and no-one at any point has openly (or otherwise) criticised me for doing so so I must seem all defensive now
I can only assure you my intentions are good and I would like to save everyone though not always possible.
Hope no-one`s taken offence by my one man mission to flood Cheshire with BX`s as non was intended!
