16v on C&C

Well, if you can ignore the alloys (and the headlamps in my own opinion) that could be quite a nice one. £900 is on the cheap side these days.

Eeek those wheels look wrong, like you im not a fan of morettes (and got a wrap over the knuckles and had my post deleted on the 16v.com when I said so) but it looks a tidy one.
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....

Ah the 16v forum love the Morettes. Personally, I think they look much worse than the original units. Round on square....clashes too much.

Mind you I think tailblazers look cheap, sunroof deflectors shit and the ones that go on the windows are akin to washer jets that light up

Awaits knuckle wrapping.....

Each to their own Kitch, any tailblazers you have spare send my way! I actually got a PM from Todd (he has some on his and was most offended). I agree those side window wotsits do look pants, the sunroof deflectors do work well with the roof back though!

Indeed, each to their own. Just my opinion that's all.

I don't think Todd's the type to actually get offended by somebody else's opinions on car parts  Those types do exist and I do happen upon them from time to time, but I don't believe Todd's one of them.

I think that looks fabulous! The valver squad always put stupid alloys on their cars but it's easily rectified with a set of decent speedlines. As to the Morettes: I really like 'em. They'd probably look crap on any other BX but really suit the 16v I think. I've probably got a MaxPower gene in what is otherwise 55bhp of diesel DNA! :D

I actually quite like those alloys, more so on the back than the front. A big no for morettes here too i'm afraid, a lot of the MK2 Astra boys put them on their GTE's and they also look ridiculous. But tastes and opinions are our own. Otherwise a great looking car, all BX's look good in silver IMO (still drooling over that TZS on ebay).

Sunroof deflectors look crap but work. So - a necessary evil. Side window deflector don't so ****. Morettes: not for me, I like square, but it wouldn't be a deal-breaker; quite the opposite as I know if I replaced them with 'normal' I could sell... and the wheels? Change 'em. No real problem although I did have to buy 9 before I got 4 Speedlines to work/balance. lol.

As for the car; potential bargain: I think a 16v works best in white or red, but hey. Someone who can should... :)

that car looks very very familiar.
I dont like the look of morrettes, but they d make night driving much more pleasant...
Cant stand those wheels, but yes, could be a bargain that
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

cracked and badly repaired rear bumper by the look of it... and those really are nasty wheels, can't think of any car that they'd look good on - maybe a bike

SL311 is a stupid alloy then? Cos that's what most of the 'valver squad' have!

I've no idea what one of those even looks like. I've only got the one MaxPower gene that covers 'Morrettes' :D Until I had a ride in Marks 16v I thought a 16v was pretty much like any other BX. I was wrong about that and have the white knuckles to prove it! 8)

I spoke to the owner on Tuesday about this 16v and it has had quite a bit of work done and a load of spares , I was seriously tempted but the wife went scatty , the owner said the paintwork was dull and looks better in the pictures . It may come up after a machine polish ? This WILL make a nice car once the wheels are junked and replaced with some speedlines . I hope it goes to a good home .

Didn't realise you where a member? I think only DanB still has non standard alloys, doesn't run the car, but the alloys he has look fantastic. Other than that i think everyone else (otr) is on standard rims. I'll admit that i'm on silver not graphite as shipped, but there still speed lines, and still 6j.
