Eoin - just quoting the NEC facts. They also 'insist' on no more than a quarter of a tank of fuel. Which is silly as it's the vapour that is the problem. I actually ran my 2CV on a stand one year as me and some friends had changed a cylinder head and I wanted to make sure it didn't leak before the long drive home...

I have a BX scarf/cravat! Are "suitcase" portable generators allowed on site? I'm sure I can "procure" a couple of traffic cones from somewhere nowhere near the M6! :)

Ian was not doubting you! Ive done stands in the NEC four times and the big check is on that Thursday..... Fuel is the pain if one wants a quick getaway but I don't usually move the car until the Monday anyway.... are you happy if I do that. On CCC stands the last to go are usually me and Nigel.

If the powers that be are happy for your car to stop until Monday, I've no problem with it. Do you have two keys for it? That way we can keep a set with the car and you can use another set when you come to collect.

Ian I think I just save money and go on the Sunday when we've knocked down. Anyway I dont need any more left over carpet as my garage is completely carpeted....

Well, as the BX is only just reaching classic status and there's lots of barn finds being, um, found, then surely the stand should include an authentic and rickety looking barn, surrounded by some authentic grass and weeds. The scene could possibly include some authentic chickens (although the NEC probably wouldn't like those either, they don't seem to like much).

Or maybe not, as Ian's Mk1 won't be there to complete the tableau.

The barn find theme has been done including chickens which laid eggs over the weekend of the show....

I wonder how far its worth going with promo gear. We've got one banner (need to work out how we're going to display that). We need something that clearly says BX Club and has the web address perhaps but that's about it. 2CVGB did have flags but found them a pain in the arse.
