How long do we wait before booking eurotunnel and hotels? TBH I'd like to bring the valver, Tim in the DTR and Mike in the MK1 estate. Any more joining the BX convoy? I've offered a seat to Mat, anyone else is welcome to share my car if you wish.

I'm happy to car (and travel cost) share as opposed to driving - with whoever has space.

Costs are the key thing though. I know F1 hotels are horrible, but I don't care if they're oversize tupperware boxes as I'll only be sleeping there - and just going by the numbers, I suspect I'll be at a distinct disadvantage here for saving me euros by room-sharing (unless Jane and/or Anne-Marie are going?)

Also, if an extra day in Paris is on the cards, we should probably sort out a meeting point (Metro station somewhere?) as it's unlikely that everyone will want to do the same stuff?

Hi Hilary - You're welcome to come with me and Ian in the Mk1 Estate, although it may be a little slower than you're used to

Likewise. I think they're actually very fit for function - if all you want is somewhere to shut your eyes then they're ideal. They only way I can justify going is by doing it on the cheap (unless I come into some cash ), so I'd go for F1 even if others preferred a few more frills.

Ditto. If I go it will be on a budget to beat all budgets. If a rooms (reasonably) warm and has a roof, what more do you want for an overnight? I'd like to go, do the meet, come home. Wandering round Paris buying luxury goods? Not gonna' happen!

Will be cheapo for me too (back of the car if necessary  ). I'd be breaking the habit of a lifetime by spending money on the Tunnel as it is

We made extensive use of F1s during the BXagon to save costs. They're absolutely fine.

I really like the idea of as many of us as possible going, but perhaps in as few BXs as possible. It'd obviously be nice to take loads of BXs but prohibitively expensive!

We had an F1 Hotel on the CCC and it was fine, although the ETAP we stayed it was actually cheaper and much nicer! (and had a bathroom).

I REALLY want to go, just need to see if the goon I work with will cover me....
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....
