Thanks to you both for your comments. Tim, do you realise that when you reply to this post you`ll only be two short of the magic mark?
I think Stewart may be warming the goat up as I type!

being in wales i would rather not gain a mental image of just how Stewart will be 'warming the goat' maybe it involves the use of velcro wellies and gloves!

Im starting to think we should all go for a camp at a car show over the summer and get some ales in, though i'm not having first go of the goat again!

Is this a done deal then?

Would be great to see this car back with a working 16V engine, but any engine would be better than it being broken IMHO, it truly was (the last time I saw it) a lovely car.

Cheers

16v

Looks like there may be a happy ending to this tragic tale after all :D
Hope the car gets a 16v rather than a diesel though as it was definitely one of the better condition 16vs on the road.

Cheers

Cool 8) A 16 valve shell with a TD in it is a fine thing, we could always get another eight valves and keep em in the boot :D

If i'd got the space i'd have that and put a diesel engine in it as i'm unlikely to find another 16v lump.

really isn't a hassle to restore it back to its former glory, shouldn't take too much capital either, i can probably source everything it needs but have no reason to do the job as i can't use the car (and i aint got no money :D )
