Just one more thing :

It would be very kind of you if we knew how many and witch models of BX are coming ( example 19 TRD 1989 )
Even if we don't know who is driving it ( it does not matter )
That's just to organize the parking to let enough place for each kind of model , year ect…
We are at Citroën's so it should be nice to tidy up the parking ( not only for the pics  :) )

I can assure a rather loud white bestickered BX 16v driven by a very enthusiastic jolly man and a equally enthusiastic slightly less jollly chap will be there (even though its rear exhaust hanger has broken off somewhere in Scotland)
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....

We are actually working to increase those who have registrered into the french forum "univers" as member of our club
so they can read all the differents parts and especially the treats about how to fix BX and/or other shrewdnesses …
Hope it will be usefull for someone
That's now done
The lucky french speakers are now considered as member of the club
so they can go everywhere in the forum
Hope you enjoy putting your hands into grease :D

I've sent a final list of cars and people to Xemes, so everyone that asked for a booking now has one. It looks like I'll be taking my Hurricane - does anyone have details of the 'stuff' French law now requires for cars to be equipped with (Hi-vis vest, breathalyser, flare gun, inflatable dinghy, shark cage etc. etc!?)

You need two breathalysers, warning triangle, bulb kit. Think you need one hi-vis that must be reachable inside the car (ie not the boot). Don't think you need one for every occupant - that might be Spain. You'll also need beam benders (or LHD headlamps which are probably easier to fit and much less likely to fall off) and a GB sticker (or one of those number plates with GB on it).

For France you also need a fire extingusher and a first aid kit... With the breathlysers they are supposedly compulsory now but apparently there is a grace period until October because there is a shortage.

+ MOT slip, registration document & insurance certificate.

Not sure the fire extinguisher is a requirement, but a good idea anyway in a BX.

I think the French word it such that you need to be able to go to the assistance of someone with a car on fire!

In fact Hi-vis vest inside the car ( I think one is enough following the law but I don't remember , i'll tell you ) , 1 triangle , bulb kit
I suppose GB sticker also except if it is on the plate
for the breathanalyser you have to have it but actually there no penalty and nothing to pay if you have not it ( only from november  ) : so I ain't got it [-X
For the fire extingusher it is not obligatory but in my opinion it could be usefull especially on board with a non diesel car ( to avoid that I use to change the petrol pipes : I've already seen some CX get into fire just because of a leak in those tube witch was going onto the hot exhaust tube …! )
For the lights I do not know : there is some one in the sheep but I never use it and when I drive in England nobody seems to be dazzled by my car's headlights …! #-o

And above ALL a speed camera detector  : those cabins are growing like mushrooms and very often there is some men in blue hidden in the ditches : detectors are forbiden but GPS and apps are OK
speed are changing very often on the way: normally motorway 130 km/h ; cities 50 km/h and for the rest …no rules : everyone have to manage its road :D
and God for everybody

I do not know if the fines are sent in GB : 2 years ago they weren't sent from GB to France but actually :?: :?: :?:

Good luck to everybody for crossing this scary territory called France
