I really want to come to this, but need to see if I can get time off work. Are there still any spare seats in anyones car (Paul?) ?

In my opinion there's 7 Bxs and 9 or 10 people crossing this famous channel
I'm quite sure you could find somebody stopping near your virtual raised thumb …!:D)

Where is my invite then ? <sad face>

Fire extinguishers in cars are typically pointless. You'll need a good 9 to 12kg of powder to knock down most car fires, and the fire will likely have taken hold by the time you notice it. Even then you need to know where to put it! I do fire extinguisher training every couple of years, and a car fire takes a bit of thinking about to put it out.

That said i've had fire extinguishers in my car for over 10 years, and never actually used one out in the wild.

Like I said ^ up there, I've entirely lost track of who I offered sofa/floor space to - I'm still a good 90-120 minutes from Folkestone mind, so won't save you much time, but if you want to come over Friday and join in for food/chat/maybe a couple hours sleep you're welcome :)

I've still got space in my car - in fact I'm not sure if Hilary is taking one of his or slumming it with me, so I may have an empty car!

the valver is definitely going (remembering it was assembled in Rennes, and not the conservatoire), so much so that i've already upped the break down insurance to give me recovery to home! Still need to check if i have EU insurance cover though.

I was just reading through some of the threads on the 'l'univers BX et XM' forum about some of the cars that will be attending the 30 ans visit. This has just been restored and will be there. One to watch out for - I like! 8)

I thought you might like that Tim. They do just seem to get better and better don't they? That dash is just the best thing!

Imagine …
Imagine you're just siting on the kind chair of an old car
just in front of you an old fashion steering wheel with a little ^^ ^^ on one side
Distractedly and as an usual habit you turn the key with a careless glance in front of you …as usual…
and suddenly…
and suddenly……

THAT is showing up from nowhere :

Awesome digit pictures! Because of their rarity, they're somehow more desirable than other similre-era digital dahes. MG even did a talking one!

It seems I cannot have the 22nd off work, the local schools will be back educating people so we'll be really busy (apparently), but what my boss doesn't know is that I have no intention of being in this job still in a months time

How late can I register and pay and stuff? I very much hope to be in a different job by the 22nd, so can say this day was already booked off so will be coming - just have to get one of the jobs i've applied for :)
