Low Mileage TZD Turbo with Speedlines

Post by Tim Leech »

This is probably a "perfect BX" for someone, looks tidy but could do with a damn good valet.

I think with nice BX's you need to be prepared to travel as theres not enough to choose from, I hope a BX'er buys that and not someone after a cheapy diesel.

Jackson, if you are still intent on getting one this could be an idea?

Nice usable BX that could be very smart with very little effort. The vendor is obviously a 'Citroeniste' by the look of the ICCCR sticker and the 2CV under wraps in one pic - a good sign. The prices of BX's have only risen slightly over the last year or two: when the numbers really drop off and values properly move skyward - as I've no doubt they will - it'll be interesting to see what emerges from the woodwork/Granddad's garage then!

I might take a look at this as it's not far away.... Why is it though people 'seal up the sunroof' when it leaks!

I'm pretty sure Charlotte will buy it... And I get to clean and valet it!! Can anyone have a look at it? Looks about perfect for what she wants and we might even be able to sell him a car to replace it...

Being a Citroen fancier, we might just have the perfect diesel XM for him.... Complete with towbar!

I'm sure it can be fixed. Might take a bit of work but worth it in the end!

Yes Charlotte that is the point; The sunroofs are not designed to be water tight they are designed to drain through the 4 drain tubes in each corner of the cassette. Cleaning these drain tubes out is an easier fix than taping up the sunroof.

The GT was taped up with sello tape when I got it, a quick blast with the airlines and all sorted, sadly the tape can damage the paintwork though!

When Charlotte had her beloved Hugo, she replaced the sunroof and the surrounds as they had perished. She's not one to back down from a challenge!

I've got a spare sunroof cassette if anyone buys this - assuming clearing out the drain holes doesn't solve things.
