Thanks, some really helpful advice there.

I will be travelling with a fair amount of kit then. I will probably draw the line at trolly jack and axle stands though.

Do you have air con Jonkw? I would've thought it's going to get quite hot for you - let alone the car!

Have a check around as some countries it is a legal requirement to carry certain items like firstaid kits, fire extinguishers, emergency brakedown kit containing a red warning triangle,first aid kit etc. I think you can get this info from the library or some motoring organisations.
I got done for traveling in germany without a first aid kit and got fined 200 Marks so its worth checking as they are very strict on foreign motorists and do spot checks and dont forget if driving on the opposite side of the road use the beam deflectors on your headlights.

Did you make this trip Phil?

I was curious what part of the Czech Republic as I had travelled out there a few times myself. Picturesque countryside in many areas there!
