Another technical weekend

Post by mds141 »

Has anyone given any more thought to planning another technical weekend. I've posted a thread up on the XM forum suggesting a joint technical weekend for all the various Citroen models, concentrating mainly on the hydropneumatic variants. I've had a positive response so far and personally I think a collaboration between us all would be a good thing. I've suggested a venue in the midlands to enable most people to attend without too much of a long journey. Suggestions and feedback most welcome. :)

I'd certainly be up for another one, work etc. permitting. The last venue seemed to work well, but if we're going to do one over the winter the option of some hard standing may be useful.

I agree with Mike. Catsinthewelder's location was great, but only really suitable for a small BX gathering. The idea of one with other Citroens on a hard-standing somewhere sounds good, though I can't guarantee to make it.

Depending on location and timing, I'm in. Central-ish would be good, Ludlow would be too much of a trek winter-time for me for just an overnight I'm afraid.

I'd be up for another tech weekend as I missed the last one and it looked good - What about at Barry's in Bourne - plenty of space/facilities etc. and fairly central (ish). Worth asking Barry maybe?

Good thinking batman. Would you mind enquiring Paul? I've never been to Barry's and only spoken to him briefly at the CXM and at Aulnay. [-o<

Paul, Mark - shall I run this past Alan who I run the CCC East Midlands group with?

Perhaps we can get something set up at Barry's and get a bigger audience through the CCC too...

Worth asking as sounds like there's a lot of interest, and I'm sure Barry will be up for it...

I would definitely be up for another tech weekend. I learned a lot but still feel like I know nothing!

I'm happy to have a wander along to one somewhere else, I'm still up for running one next summer but we're in the middle of a merger with another college so all bets are off until nearer the time.
