The actual MPG would be very dependant on your style of driving and persons/load your carrying ?

So I'd say for 2 persons and very little/no luggage, for a normal 1.9 N/A diesel 50 MPG is achievable !

However the official Citroen Technical brochures claim the following for the N/A 1.9D Estate models :-

Urban cycle = 43.5 MPG
Constant 56 MPH = 58.9 MPG
Constant 75 MPH = 42.8 MPG

I hope this helps !

:)

That's great thanks.

M25, 60 all the way. Getting 430 out of a tank in the valver, so not great

To give you an idea, my TXD saloon with the same 1.9 n/a diesel engine averages anywhere from 50-54 regularly & doing as steady 60 on a run should get nr to 60mpg. I get a tad over 700 miles from a tank to give you an idea of range with my best being 810 miles, which meant that i'd averaged 58mpg :)

430miles in a valver i would say is quite good?

Smaller tank in these I think, so you'd be doing well to get 430 miles out of a tank, but it is at least a smaller tank! I'd generally get 380-400 miles (I don't like to let it drop below a quarter) in my NA estate, which worked out at 48-54mpg.

Yeah around town I have been looking at more like 200 to a tank, but that is heavy footing it. i got 86 miles out of £30 other day, the burble of the exhaust is just so tempting, or when you meet the local chav in a corsa :D

I must admit that i'm always bemused by people worrying about the amount of fuel in their tank before refilling. I've heard plenty of reasons why, never suffered with any issues myself & i think half the problem is that overtime by not running it down to virtually empty, this causes shit in the tank to build up & then it does cause a problem when you have to use that fuel in the bottom one day. The diesel fuel filters are so easy to change, can't see what the problem is tbh? But each to their own, haha...

I'm getting 450 miles to a tank in Timex, and 48mpg, which is pretty similar to what I got out of my last RD Estate. I'm still hoping to improve on this though.

There is no way you would get 200 miles from a tank full of diesel from an n/a diesel. They do much better than that.
