I've been there. It's hell. All those shops ~shudder. The cinema was good though, from long-distant memory.mike22861 wrote:the North East's biggest shopping centre is 15 mins away
Um, yeah - Scotland: as far as stops go, I would say free camping no problem, but we will need to sort cooking arrangements for breakfasts at least for some of the remoter points. Also, I'm only the nearly perfect woman who likes cars and hates shopping, 'cos I *would* like access to hot water every couple of days or so, even if we're roughing it.

Much as I prefer wild camping, I think it would be difficult to do it if there are a lot of us. Perhaps best to plan it around camp sites, and if we do see the perfect spot on the way then we (or some of us) just make the decision then.
I'll have basic cooking facilities and water, so breakfast wouldn't be a problem. But yeah, showers would be needed from time to time...

If you promise me some sun I can bring a 10 liters black bag in witch you put cold water , after a while ( generaly a couple of hours ) behind the screen water is hot enough to have shower and when used niggardly 4 people can have it with the 10 litersmat_fenwick wrote: But yeah, showers would be needed from time to time...

I know the sort of thing you mean, but it needs one vital thing to make it warm that may be missing in Scotland - the Sun!

You're completly right Paul : for my part I actualy am locked alone in the midddle of the sea on a boat going all around the world since one week and it will last at least two more monthes ; outside the temperature is 88°F ( 35°C) I daren't tell you how much inside the cabin …!
Did you eard about the Vendée Globe sailing race ?
So my french tendency is at his maximum and don't need any encouragement and the smell is really here : waiting for the hot rain to have shower

Excellent news Charlotte, it looks very nice in the Facebook pics. I've managed to insure my XM on a classic policy, so worth shopping around. Lancaster insurance or Sure Term direct are your best bets.

Re: C.C.C.E. 24th June - 30th June 2013.
Thanks Mark, I'll give them a go! So hard to find an insurer that will take into consideration my years or driving STOOOPIDLY fast cars on a trade policy without incident.
Just in case Mr. Chidlow is super busy (I sincerely hope he is) I am a graphic designer/illustrator by trade also, so anything he can't find the time to do I'd happily volunteer for.
Seriously looking forward to this - although, not looking forward to pitching and packing up a soggy tent in the rain every day and driving around in a soggy condensationy car all day... I may have to chuck a mattress in the back of the XM and run an electric blanket off a spare battery!!
Go Go Team Ronin!
