This is the same guy who listed a stripe kit for a BX meteor that RBX posted ,and after i won the bid 2 weeks later he said that it was re listed as an error and he had sold them previously not impressed.

Just realised how much the starting bid is for this, bx engines usually come wrapped in a car for this money!

I suppose its rare though with that mileage, it's a bit steep, but are you likely to find another low mileage car let alone an engine??

Hmmm. I'm in Tiverton tomorrow and fitting a new, faster engine to the Green Tiger might be easier than changing the cambelt and clutch (and a lot more fun afterwards!).

I'm tempted by this but it depends if the mileage can be verified and how long it's been stored. It could still be storing up problems if it has done a small mileage over a long period and not had its oil and antifreeze changes.

If I didn't already have a choice of engines, I'd buy it for one of my cars!

This engine has only just been removed so although it's only done 37,000 miles it's still been on the road for 19 years, so if it hasn't had regular antifreeze changes it could have internal corrosion issues. Since it has been advertised the sellers workshop has flooded up to the alternator level of this engine, although the engine should be ok water and silt will have entered the gearbox yet he won't budge on the price. I'm going to give it a miss and strip and repair my own engine.
