14TGE, last owner for 20 years, Needs Loving Home

Post by Tim Leech »

A call from a chap, based south of Edinburgh who has decided after 20 year to part with his burgundy BX 14TGE, which he bought in 1992, 6 months old from MacAndrew Citroen.

MOT Until end of may, maintained properly he says (he sounds a proper chap), repiped a few years ago, in good condition, 119000 miles.

Webasto Sunroof (glass I think).

Nothing wrong with it.

New onwers enthusiasm is more important than price as he is clearly very attached to it after having it so long.

Price? Well I think £300 and he would be happy

I have a number.

His new Skoda wont be here for 6 weeks so no rush.

Any chance of a picture? Which interior has it got? Sounds remarkably like my first BX :) Nothing wrong with it? Quite a claim for a BX!

It's a loooong way to go, but I might be interested if it's nice. I'm after a really sound BX - would prefer a bigger engined one, but I've had a 1.4 before and it wasn't too sluggish. As long as the body's sound, I'm prepared to throw some money at the mechanicals if needed....

With a glass sunroof it's practically identical to my old 14!

sounds like a good price considering the way the values are going, and the combination of spec and colour is pretty rare I think.

Spoke to the owner again today, he can't bare to part with her after 22 years, his new car is very quiet but dull so the BX stays!!

Great to hear that it's saved by the current owner. While there are a couple of modern cars that I like, I wouldn't have them over the BX (or GS for that matter) as they are either too thirsty or not practical enough for what I subject my motors to.

he is of a certain age where computers are made of witchcraft so I doubt it but he will keep in touch should he need any parts.
