Forgot to mention that I did two small things to improve the TXD today. One was to adjust the door strikers - sounds much better now! The other was to reset the steering wheel as it was slightly off - my fault from when I removed the self-cancelling indicator collar (I bloody hate self-cancelling indicators!).

^

Thinking about it though, there was a BX at the Conservatoire event back in September that was painted Brun Scarab and looked *awesome* - perhaps another option?

Another 320 miles successfully completed. BX is on 108,000 miles now, so over 3000 since I bought it in September. To put that into perspective, I've done more miles this year in the BX than my 2CV...

New pads fitted today. Annoying as one was thin (due to the iffy caliper when I got it) but the other three pads had plenty of meat left on them. However, I do now have actual low warning wires and I wasn't convinced the old pads were much cop anyway. This car had the least BX-like brakes I'd ever encountered on a BX. They needed a proper shove to get them working, and were dreadful when cold.

Too early to say whether the change has improved things as there's a couple of hundred miles of bedding in to do.

Went for a play in the (light and very icy) snow today. Impressive these winter tyres, especially when braking.

Riken Snowtime. Bought as part-worns from Mr Chidlow.

The Green Tiger could do with new rubber so now my quandary is what to fit. Might see what all-season options are out there as from what I've researched, they don't offer much less grip than winter tyres in winter, but don't suffer as much during warmer times.

I got it dirty...

That's what travelling 100 miles at this time of year does to a car. It was spotless before I set off! Actually hit some actual snow. Well, a couple of mm of it. Enough it seemed for a Ford Fiesta to have an off on one twisty section. What is it with people?!

When the car looks like that because it gets used, dodgy lacquer seems less of an issue :)

Glad the tyres are working well for you. I certainly rated them.
