I wouldn't mind a set of those lifetime guarantee tyres - they sound worth the starting price alone! Currently I have to BUY new tyres every year when mine wear out

Looks like a fare bit of welding needed on the A posts but low mileage. Shame about the head gasket though. Probably never had a coolant change.

The ad makes it sound a lot worse than it is though, what's the probs - possible head gasket gone and the engine isn't turning over with some A pillar rust. For the practical BXer shouldn't be too bad (that is if you have a spare engine and A pillar panel sections!).

Tom, they was a Turbo option which had the 1769cc XUD - (A8A - engine) and was basically the forerunner/spec. to what later became the TZD Turbo !

The N/A models where badged as 'BX 19 DTR' and the Turbo models 'BX DTR TURBO' however IIRC the N/A didn't have the Black 'Mistral Velour' GTi style seats, but all the Turbo models did complete with the Black dash, carpet and plastic' parts







However 'F784 LNE' has a Grey dash, carpets and plastic parts, suggests it may have been originally fitted with the basic/standard type of seat frames upholstered in the 'Grey Tweed' material and at some stage of its life has been swapped over with some donor ones from a GTi or DTR/TZD Turbo !

I was quoted between £500 and £600 pounds from local garages around me including a Citroen 'specialist'. This was for the full lot though, new belts, water pump, head skimmed etc. I chose the route of doing mine myself, under the watchful eye of a mechanic and it cost me around £100 in parts and took me a couple of days to do.

you did Tim yes, it was Annette's, I think maybe you had the tweed from it when I put the other seats in it?
The primer bulb is new too. I was there when I fitted it.
