Yep - it leaves quite a puddle in the road.

On diesel BXs (where there's more engine vibration than on the petrol models) there should be a couple of 'P' clips - steel with rubber insert (see below) - which tie the pipe to a couple of bolts where the engine and gearbox meet but when that area is worked on they tend to get left off. Vibration eventually cracks the pipe usually at the pump end.

spent a few hours today jet washing the engine bay and changing the pump to fdv pipe after it fractured and spent most of the lhm all over the engine bay unfortunately getting some on the new clutch only fitted 2500k back, not unheard of on diesels for this to happen due to vibration, 3 litre top up of lhm but everything operating nice and smoothly now its all had a good green lube.

citro blood will burn off of the clutch,

not like brake fluid/dot 3 4 what ever
