i was the first caller 4 hours after the ad went up and the most disappointed it sold this evening!

was going to go and see it tomorrow morning!

it's €720 minimum registration tax on any UK imported s/h car, so you can see the appeal of this one. 136k miles on it, regular servicing, recent cambelt, sounded quite good. NCT til Sept. Damn!

oh.. just got a text.. bought by a dealer this eve no less, didn't even know it was for sale. I have the town name - couple of days of ringing round garages maybe?! :?

Hoping the price will be right, should be borrowing it next week for a test :)

Dear Max,
OOOh that sounds as if it may be really really nice Max 8) I will have my fingers crossed for you, for next week then Max ^^bx> I hope the weather turns out ok for you,
nothing worse than road testing a new car, when it,s chuffin down with r**n ( when you would like it to be dry, so that you can hear noisy wheel bearings or any knocks and bangs it may have etc. )
Good luck Max, [-o<

I see what you mean :)
,has 3 different heights for driveing,,as shown in photos,,
This is what stuck out for me, given that you don't really drive on three settings.
I get the impression that the seller doesn't understand this car and is kinda bluffing it. I wonder if he did anything to it extra after the original sale, that ad only being 5 days old?! :? The only thing "new" seems to be a set of wheel trims. Probably trying too make a quick buck..

That fits...the 'mostly made of plastic' seems to be a common misconception, especially given that the outer panels at least rarely rust. Spotter alert - it's not even a genuine Citroen towbar so extremely unlikely to have been fitted when new!

Another Citreon... Alarm bells ringing like mad with me too. New wheeltrims maybe but evidently couldn't be bothered to replace the broken foglight bulb and posted a photo highlighting the deficiency. D'oh! Why do so many sellers fail to make even the most basic effort to make a car look saleable? It's an insult to the intelligence of their potential buyers, isn't it?

The previous owner told me a dealer approached him just as he was out the other day- didn't even know the car was for sale. So I'd say definitely making a quick buck. I'd be very surprised if he's done anything other that a wash. The guy said he had 3 wheel trims in the garage.

Absolutely no rust- I find that hard to believe. But, you never know.

If its still on in the week I might take a look but it's a bit further west from me now :(
It does sound worth a look though, the previous owner and the dealer now selling both didn't seem to know much about citroens, wouldn't be surprised if the spheres were flat, previous owner says he reckon they've been on for 8 years! But he might be mistaken.

In cork today then limerick mon but travelling with others, be a bit of an ask to divert via Longford!

Next week could be the black bx test drive week, prob looking at the other one.

I don't have the money, but I might just have to get that credit card! Might be worth it for an Irish registered one :)

I'm not a fan of red generally, but a polished BX in red - mmm-MMMMMM. That's lovely.
