Security valve pipe
Can anyone please tell me the Cit OEM part number for the Security Valve Leakage Return Pipe, and what is spec is? Has anyone a 6-inch piece going spare?
I've got a braided fuel pipe on at the moment, but I don't think its going to last. (any comment there) The Sec Valve return pipe has quite a msall bore and pretty substantial wall.

are you talking about the clear/white coloured one? The official bodge if to take a piece of washer tube (usually stolen from a rear washer to washer bottle from a BX as you can pull the whole lot out in one go) connect washer pipe to a small length of the clear/white pipe, then run it back to the reservoir along the subframe then up with the res of the pipes.
Your then left with a t-piece with an open side (once the T-piece has failed it will usually never work proper again!), remove the Tpiece and bridge the gap with a short length of washer pipe.
Problem solved, and this is the supposed officially recommended Citroen fix, as performed on my dads ole 19rd!

Hi Gareth -
Received your emergency call and now peeping in to the club with my 2 cents ...
The leak-off hosing from the security/safety valve is seen fitted on top of the front subframe - inside the LHS front wheel arch. It appears to run out from the valve and then rather sharply bends 180deg back in again. Exactly this bend is often perished in the rubber and then leaks out the leak-back seepage.
The hose is the usual green marked Citroen rubber hosing for LHM usage. 3mm internal diameter. The rubber hose connects to a nylon pipe located further in onto the subframe. This nylon pipe is 3.5mm outer dia - as is the stud on the safety valve.
Me thinks its a bit odd using a thick walled rubber pipe here - as this would tend to crack in sharp bends. Could very well be a later non-genuine repair.
Its perfectly suitable to use fuel hosing 3mm int. dia as a suitable replacement - because the LHM is mineral based just like ordinary engine oil. And fuel is certainly mineral based
Genuine Citroen parts are available cut to lenght at very affordable cost.
