I've had a drive in Paul's 1.7 n/a & i didn't think it was all that bad tbh, it'll get upto speed ok, its not like they are tractor slow because they do weigh just over 1000kg so even with 60bhp they are ok. If you're used to a modern turbo diesel, you probably initially will think its v-slow, but you soon get used to it. I always find that when jumping from the mini to my txd.

^ That's exactly right. The 17 n/a isn't going to win any races but the engine (on mine anyway) is sweet as a nut will and cruise at 70 all day. It's also very softly sprung so it feels much more 'Citroen' than the TZD. The only real drawback is that low speed manouvering without PAS is a pain. Other than that I love it. The other advantage is that because I'm acclimatised to the way it does things, it makes the TZD seem like a rocket . . . which is nice.

I agree. That engine bay looked to have had plenty of TLC, it has modest mileage and the interior looked mint; the rest just needed tidying. The 'brown/beige' thing really sold me - I think it looks great, although it might be tough getting spare interior trim parts in that colour.

That seems to be the going rate for 17RD's - Bleriot sold through an advert at Stratford last year for about that and is in much the same condition, with the added bonuses of headlamp protectors, door handle plates, rear headrests (proper ones!) and a tailblazer!
