MOT pass

Post by rutter123 »

50 shades has passed the mot, yet i suspect it may be the final year, there are still a fair amount of rust issues pending which will need future attention, shame cos it is mechanically great, the paint is also fading by the day, but back in the fold for another year.

Yes tim i see what youre saying, it is quite solid in the important areas, but the demons are getting in at top of windscreen pillars, base of n/s b pillar and c pillar and i suspect the n/s sill will need fully replacing soon also advisory on drivers door pillar/hinge just starting to rust, maybe run it another year and next year get in the workshop for full bare shell stripdown/repair, for what i can recall i have already repaired 15 or more areas, most of them underside and nearside the usual places, not terminal but seemingly getting a good hold.
