Hi Geoff. The rally is situated on the racecourse and as I recall very easy to find. Look out for CCC signs but unlikely to be many before you get very close, just follow racecourse. Even I've managed to find it twice now.

I'm going but as my BX is dead i'll be in the newly aqquired diesel dog Golf (i've decided i'm most definatly not a diesel man!)

Looks really good the CCC BX columnist turning up to an event in a VW!! LOL!

I'll be camping over too so i can get well and truely OILED!

Feel free anybody to come over to the tent with the maroon Golf parked next to it for a beer!

Hi Ian. You and David Woolard both. He didn't run a BX either, seem to remember him prefering bl**dy Landrovers. You should be easily recognisable in the VW. Hope to see you there (trying to keep it quiet but I maybe going in the XM instead of the BX) no decision yet, this is not due to anything other than financial reasons. Insurance just ran out on BX

I've just got back from the CCC doo.

It was a real good event. Lots of nice motors and i'd like to say that at the 11th hour i managed to fix my BX and went in it!

I went too. A good day out, unfortunately not too may BXs there, never saw any going down or back. 272 MILE round trip on 4.12 gallon (diesel of course) = 66mpg, thats why the turbo box is in my MK1 to stay.

Dont want to upset too many of you chaps who didn't get there by telling you how much/little parts were changing hands for  but I bought 2 front wings, 2 rear bumpers mk1&2, pair headlights, 2 xantia rear lights, 2 drive shaft boots, a few brake pipes all brand new for £80  I would have bought more but there isn't much room in the glove box as the rest of the car was pretty full.

The parts were amazingly cheap! I picked up a brand new AX GT alloy wheel, after he told me the price I couldnt put it down even though I havnt actually got an AX?! £2! The re-sale of that (if i dont keep it) could pay for my MOT on the 16v easily!

The cars were cool but some 16v engines in non BX's! (visa, c15)

Will be going next time with a parts list by number so I can tell what all the mysterious packets of stuff for sale is and if i need it!!!
