Bungs

Post by Philip Chidlow »

Hi, does anybody have a pair of those black rubbery bung things that go into the big hole at the bottom corner of each of the front wings? Both mine seem perished.

Assuming they're situated round about where you might hang mudflaps, I seem to have a couple of good'uns.

Pm me your address and i'll bung them in the post

I'll do a photo and post it up to save confusion... Thanks for the offer. Just need to make sure we're talking about the same things :D

Here's what I'm talking about. In the door frame, under the hinges, a big hole filled with a rubber bung on the wing/A pillar. I need a couple of these if anybody's got a pair. Beer tokens available.

They may be a standard blind grommet - in which case you will probably get them from a specialist rubber supplier - try yellow pages.

Bungs arrived. Cheers! Have replaced split/crumbling old ones, and now? - now I guess, the section won't fill up with crud and water... Ho evidence that it ever did - but you can't be too careful.

Again, many thanks
