Post by Chris Abbott »

Have i missed a thread somewhere, or have they escaped the radar?
A pair of mudflaps have just sold for £71+ on ebay.
Was there something very special about them?

My thoughts exactly! If they'd been contours I could've (sort of ) understood it, but they're generics that you can pick up at rallies for a tenner a go; I've got a cupboard full. Anyone with 70 quid burning a hole in their pocket, form an orderly queue! :D

If you have a look at the item bid history for the listing, you'll see the set started at £2.99 and reached £71 due in the main to one individual who was hellbent on winning them at any price. Irony was that he didn't win them anyway. Lucky seller.

Sometimes on ebay the desire to win gets the better of folks I reckon, and they end up paying a dumbass price for some peice of junk. You'd think I was talking from experience - I'm not though. :^o
